One and all

A rare opportunity to walk the length of the newly refurbished Royal Albert Bridge.

Limited tickets which are selling fast for event on 12 July.  Early start but expect it to be worth it !

Thanks for posting that ... I think I'm working in Plymouth as from the Monday, and I've just booked to cross the Tamar on foot at 06:40.   Now for the logistics around the visit  Smiley

A late fathers day present, from me, a perhaps slower meander from 0720.

Looking forward to it.

Cheers all.

Many thanks for posting details of that opportunity, Kernow Otter!

Purely in the interests of raising the profile, I've also added details to our Diary.  Wink

All tickets have now been sold, however a small further allocation may be released sometime after 8th June, subject to Network Rail negotiation. You'll need to keep an eye on the website.

I may book if that's so. And if I can find a cheap B&B nearby! Any suggestions from folk down that way?

Lack of accommodation in Saltash by the look of things ... may be worth arranging a minibus from The Hoe.  But then it's high season and we're looking for single night, so even there may be tricky.

More pictures to follow - first as an attachment.

Great walk, well organised, good architecture, excellent views.   No trains car over while we were on the bridge though!

Not the best morning for photography but an excellent pre-breakfast stroll.

As Graham says very well organised and a nice friendly spirit among those walking over, all taking care to avoid being in other people's shots while pictures were being taken.

An unforgettable experience.

Seems an appropriate time to share this link to a song about Brunel.  It's a bit of a rocker, quite amusing, and hopefully introduces a whole new generation to the great engineer!  Sadly the Royal Albert Bridge doesn't figure in the video.
